7 large egg whites

1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar

3 1/2 cups powdered (confectioner's) sugar

1/2 cup butter, softened
•
7-8 tablespoons burnt sugar syrup
•
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1-2 tablespoons half and half or cream, or as much as needed for spreading consistency
