Salt

2 large, or 3 medium onions, 1 trimmed, quartered and peeled, 2 trimmed, split, lengthwise, peeled, and chopped
•
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
•
½ cup unsulphured molasses
•
½ cup dark brown sugar
•
1½ cups of tomato sauce or catsup
•
1 teaspoon dry mustard, or more, to taste
•
1-2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
•
½ pound thick sliced bacon
