1. US MEASUREMENTS

Dash = 2 to 3 drops
Pinch = amount that can be held between end of thumb and forefinger
1 tablespoon = 3 teaspoons
1/4 cup = 4 tablespoons
1/3 cup = 4 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon
1/2 cup = 8 tablespoons
1 cup = 16 tablespoons
1 pint = 2 cups
1 quart = 4 cups
1 gallon = 4 quarts
1 peck = 8 quarts
1 bushel = 4 pecks
1 pound = 16 ounces
2. METRIC CONVERSIONS

1/4 cup = 60 ml (milliliters)
1/3 cup = 85 ml
1/2 cup = 125 ml
2/3 cup = 170 ml
3/4 cup = 180 ml
1 cup = 250 ml

1/8 teaspoon = .5 ml
1/4 teaspoon = 1.5 ml
1/2 teaspoon = 3 ml
3/4 teaspoon = 4 ml
1 teaspoon = 5 ml
1 tablespoon = 15 ml
2 tablespoons = 30 ml
3 tablespoons = 45 ml
3. OVEN TEMPERATURES

275º = 135C
300º = 149C
325º = 165C
350º = 175C
375º = 190C
400º = 205C
425º = 218C
450º = 230C
500º = 260C

Note: Celsius temperatures are rounded off to the nearest reading ending in 0 or 5. the celsius thermometer is the same as centigrade (a term which is no longer used)
