Someone was looking for a recipe for their diabetic dog. I found this recipe, which I haven't tried, at: petdiabetes.com/recipes.html. The orig. recipe called for 1 cup of raisins. I omitted the them from the recipe because raisins can be very toxic to dogs.

Ingredients

3 c
oatmeal uncooked
1 c
cold filtered water
1 1/2 c
whole-wheat flour
1 Tbsp
parlsley, chopped

2 egg yolks
1 tsp
baking soda
2
cloves garlic, chopped

How to Make Susan's Oatmeal Cookies for Diabetic Dogs

Step-by-Step

  • 1Mix all ingredients together.
  • 2Spoon onto a greased cookie sheet. (I do not know about diabetes in dogs, so I don't know if greasing the cookie sheet is a good idea.)
  • 3Bake 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees.
    Place on a cooling rack.
    Store in refrigerator for up to two months.
