I've been on a disaster survival kick lately. Lol.I found this on a blog devoted to surviving after a natural, man-made, or government disaster. I have not yet tried this for myself, but I do plan on trying it eventually. :)

Ingredients
- 1/2 - bar of bar soap, granulated/shredded
- 1/2 cup washing soda
- 1/2 cup borax
- 1 gallon clean water
How To Make survivalist's laundry detergent

Step 1Bring water to simmer. Add dry ingredients, mixing until soap has melted.

Step 2Pour into gallon bucket/jug. Measure 1/2 cup for light/medium loads. Measure 1 cup for heavy/large loads. Works in washing machines and for hand washing.
