I would love to make this with the lemon and add some lavender. Citrus peels are the best for this frugal cleaner.

How To Make homemade orange de-greaser

  • Step 1
Save your orange, lemon, lime or even apple peels in a zip lock bag and store in the freezer. When there is enough to fill a large sauce pan half way, cover with water and simmer on low till liquid is reduced by half and you can smell the oranges. Cool the liquid and discard the peels in your compost pile or trash.
  • Step 2
Next after the liquid is completely cool add it to a spray bottle. You can add some vodka* as a disinfectant. Then add some water to thin out your cleaner. Now you can spray clean your vent a hood, counter tops, microwave and other dirty surfaces. This has a natural smell and cleans so well!
  • Step 3
Please use grain alcohol if you can as the rubbing alcohol is made from petroleum.
