I love this detergent. You can adjust the amounts to make the detergent more concentrated if you like. *I usually stir it pretty often, if you don't it will get chunky* *Add 1 ounce of essential oil to add any smell of your choice*

Ingredients

1/3 Bar - fels naptha or other type of soap
1/2 cup washing soda (arm and hammer)
1/2 cup borax powder
1 Large - bucket
3-4 - empty laundry detergent containers

How To Make homemade laundry detergent

Step 1

Grate the soap and put it into a saucepan.

Step 2

Add 6 cups of hot water and stir until the soap thoroughly melts.
Step 3

Add the washing soda and borax and stir until it is dissolved.
Step 4

Remove from heat.
Step 5

Add 4 cups of hot water to your bucket and add your soap mixture. Stir.
Step 6

Add 1 gallon plus 6 cups of water and stir.
Step 7

Let it sit for 24 hours so it can gel.
