You can use any scent of hair conditioner you choose. I usually buy Suave because it's the cheapest.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups hot water
  • 2 cups hair conditioner (any scent you choose)
  • 3 cups white vinegar

How To Make homemade fabric softener

  • Step 1
Heat water until it's hot but not boiling.
  • Step 2
Add conditioner and stir with wire whisk to mix well. Stir until conditioner is completely dissolved.
  • Step 3
Add vinegar, stir to mix well.
  • Step 4
Allow to cool before placing in bottle (I use an old, one gallon, vinegar bottle)
  • Step 5
Place softener in washer like you would any other liquid softener. You can use as little as 2 tbsp. but I like to use at least 4-6 tbsp!
