swallows vs blue birds

I was so intense on the robins today that I did not see the drama unfolding on the other side of the yard. The sun finally came out, and on the satellite dish was the male blue bird just a glowing a pretty blue in the sun. So I crept outside to see if I could take a photo..I could not get close enough and he flew away. The mama blue bird was sitting up in another tree. The bird house is close, so I tried to get the camera to focus on her but it was just to blurry.. I was starting to get bombarded by the barn swallows. They where flying all over the yard and having a great time. I looked at the birdhouse and I thought a baby was sticking out but when I went to take a photo, I could see that it was a barn swallow. The barn swallows (4 of them) where chasing away the pair of bluebirds and decided this is their house. The pair of blue birds usually have a few babies by now, so I don't know if they can survive the 4 swallows. This is a photo of one of the barn swallows, that was in the blue birds house.

How To Make swallows vs blue birds

  • Step 1
Do not morn the loss of a chance encounter. Like Peggi said, Look at the other trees! This worked for me.
  • Step 2
Wait for the sun for a better photo then sneak up as close as possible. Hid behind a bush helps.
