This was given to me from my art teacher (Joanne Robitschek) many many years ago & it works well! It protects your oil paintings from fading & gives it a nice shine.

How To Make oil painting goop
-
Step 1Mix all together in a glass jar. I usually make a bigger batch so it lasts. Here is a great art supplier that carries EVERYTHING that you need: (Jerry's Artarama) http://www.jerrysartarama.com/
-
Step 2Buy a bunch of junkie, cheap big brushes (cause the stuff won't come out of them).
-
Step 3USING ON OIL PAINTINGS: Let painting dry at least 1 - 6 months (depending on the colors used).
-
Step 4Paint an even amount of goop on painting & spread evenly. NOTE: Keep in an area that the painting will not be disturbed. PATIENTS! The goop will take anywhere from 1 - 3 months to dry, but you will only have to apply it just once. Your painting will be protected from the paint fading & it will give it a nice shine.
