My son brought this recipe home way back when he was in grade school some 20 years ago. Its simple to make and last ALONG time. stays nice and soft if kept in a airtight container or baggie. My kids loved it and I still make it for little kids I know. also you don't have to worry if they eat it. nothing toxic.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 2 tablespoons cream of tartar

How To Make homemade playdough

  • Step 1
Mix flour, salt and cream of tarter together.
  • Step 2
add 1 cup water, some food coloring for color and some extract (if you want a scent)(vanilla or almond is nice) to a medium size sauce pan.
  • Step 3
Add the flour mixture and cook over medium heat for 3-5 minutes stiring constantly. You can tell when it starts looking playdough like and the liquid goes away. Then dump it out on the counter and kneed it abit. cool and have fun. put in airtight container or baggie.
