homemade play doh
(1 RATING)
Don't eat it!!! This is a great recipe to make a nice soft play dough for kids. My children loved it and now my granddaughter Ayla loves it. Use your imagination and invent colors. Let the child help you make it. Great bonding activity and inexpensive. Have fun!

Ingredients
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup regular table salt
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons cream of tartar
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- small vanilla extract or almond extract if desired
How To Make homemade play doh
-
Step 1Mix all ingredients together in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until thick and pliable. Keep stirring. (It will be hard to stir). Take off of heat and when cool enough, mix with your hands. Add in the vanilla or almond extract if you want it to smell nice!
-
Step 2Divide into a couple of balls and add the food coloring of your choice to each. Keep in a storage bag or plastic container when the children are not playing with it. When it becomes too "used", throw it out and start again!
