empty nest syndrome
Just looked out the window and my baby birds are gone... (look at that, I was already calling them, mine) Nest was on the ground..babies where to little, just hatched. I checked all over, under the tree and around but nothing. I think the ravens got them or maybe the high winds blew to hard and blew the nest out of the tree. (and then the ravens got them) My husband wanted to know if I was going to be traumatized.. I did have a long face. I was going to take a photo for the contest but that is not happening.

How To Make empty nest syndrome
-
Step 1Every year, a pair of robins set up housekeeping in the blue spruce outside the dining room window. Sometimes they put the nest up high. Sometimes it is down low. I can usually see it out the windows and can watch the progress until the babies have their feathers and have left the nest.
-
Step 2The parents guard the yard and try to keep the other robins away so that they can have all the worms.
-
Step 3This year was not to good. We had some really bad storms (not like back east) and the nest was laying on the ground this morning.
-
Step 4No babies...empty nest syndrome has started again.
