caps for jars!

I just learned this trick this summer from a good friend in the North. He brought out some pickled asparagus and I noticed the lid. He told me it was one that he recycled! (I thought it looked familiar) I added the idea of putting the sealing disc in the cap for airtight storage--works GREAT!

Ingredients

  • - regular mouth canning jars
  • - metal sealing lids
  • 18 ounces peanut butter jar lids

How To Make caps for jars!

  • Step 1
    Put the sealing disc inside the cap for airtight storage.
  • Step 2
    If you don't need quite airtight just use the cap by itself!
