dyi laundry detergent
I decided to submit & share this non-food recipe because I'm just so happy with this homemade laundry soap and have been using it now for 8 months. One recipe lasted me & my husband for four months for just pennies per load! I just made another batch not too long ago, and my machine sparkles too!my daughter-in-law used it when she was at our house Christmas and said, "Mom, I LOVE the smell of this stuff"!

Ingredients
- 1 cup arm&hammer super washing soda
- 1 cup 20 mule team borax
- 1 - bar of soap, like zote (i use fels naptha)
How To Make dyi laundry detergent
-
Step 1Using the fine side of your grater, grate the Fels Naptha, or other bar soap of your preference. It's surprisingly easy to grate! Mix all 3 together until very well blended, about 5 minutes. That's ALL there is too it! store in the container of your choice.
-
Step 2Use a teaspoon on normal loads and 1-2 Tablespoons on extra large, heavily soiled clothes.
-
Step 3Get out of the mind set that thinks you need suds to be "real" soap to be effective, there won't be any suds. The clothes come out smelling fresh and clean, and you've saved a ton of money!
-
Step 4My husband who's sensitive to the dyes & perfumes in other detergents I've used in the past has had no issues with the DYI Detergent.
