Step 1Just wanted to share a tip with you. I took a header up the stairs the other day and hit my knee, elbow, and cheek. The first thing I did was soak a cotton ball with vanilla extract and put it everywhere I had hit. Sounds crazy doesn't it? The purpose of doing that was to stop the pain, keep everything from swelling and turning black and blue. I've been using vanilla to put on boo-boos for over 40 years ever since my oldest daughter was born. She is now 42. I had two girls and two boys and I used it on all of them. I now have grand-kids I use it on. You can use imitation or real vanilla, it really doesn't matter. Just make sure you put it everywhere. By the way, I didn't have one bruise. Just try it, what can you lose.
