Just found this solution recipe. I will try it if needed. I posted another solution recipe that I have used and it worked really well. It called for Vinegar and Dawn We have a charcoal standard poodle and peroxide can sometimes bleach the hair. I don't think ol' No-Shed Fred would want to be a bottle blond

Ingredients

  • 1 quart 3% hydrogen peroxide
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon softsoap or ivory liquid

How To Make tina's skunk solution version 2

  • Step 1
    Mix the ingredients and apply to dogs fur avoiding eyes. Put the solution on the face area with a washcloth. avoid eyes since peroxide can cause corneal ulcers.
  • Step 2
    if the dog has long hair you can dilute the solution with a quart of warm water.
  • Step 3
    Let solution on dog's fur for 5 minutes and rinse off with warm water. Repeat if necessary
  • Step 4
    DO NOT make up ahead of time. DO NOT store any unused solution.
