Someone was looking for a recipe for their diabetic dog. I found this recipe, which I haven't tried, at: http://www.petdiabetes.com/recipes.html. The orig. recipe called for 1 cup of raisins. I omitted the them from the recipe because raisins can be very toxic to dogs.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups oatmeal uncooked
  • 1 cup cold filtered water
  • 1 1/2 cups whole-wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon parlsley, chopped
  • 2 - 2 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 - cloves garlic, chopped

How To Make susan's oatmeal cookies for diabetic dogs

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingredients together.
  • Step 2
Spoon onto a greased cookie sheet. (I do not know about diabetes in dogs, so I don't know if greasing the cookie sheet is a good idea.)
  • Step 3
Bake 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees. Place on a cooling rack. Store in refrigerator for up to two months.
