I love using Bark Butter...and the birds love it too...You can add all kinds of goodies, even meal worms Enjoy watching the birds eat their treat!

Ingredients

  • 1 large pine cone
  • 1 large paper plate
  • 1 - butter knife
  • - bark butter
  • - birdseed
  • - ribbon or yarn or twine
  • - scissors

How To Make pinecone bird feeder with bark butter

  • Step 1
    Cut a long length of yarn, twine, or ribbon to hang the bird feeder.
  • Step 2
    Tie the ribbon in a knot around the pine cone near the top (about 3 sections down).
  • Step 3
    Tie a knot in the end of the ribbon.
  • Step 4
    Use the knife to get a large clump of bark butter on the paper plate.
  • Step 5
    Use the knife to spread bark butter inside the pine cone and around the edges.
  • Step 6
    Sprinkle the birdseed over the pine cone. Roll the pine cone in the birdseed that is on the plate. Hang the bird feeder on the tree.
