By making my own I know what's in them.Our dog is 14yrs. old,he needs to watch his diet. :)The cats eat thm also.

yield About 30 dog size,60 cat size

Ingredients

1/4 cup hot tap water
4 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules
1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
1 cup tomato juice
1 cup wheat germ
1 cup self rising flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 - 1 small,1 med-lrg cookie cutters
- tin foil

How To Make pet treats

Step 1

Combine water with chicken bouillon,yeast and sugar.Stir to dissolve.

Step 2

Add tomato juice,wheat and flour(s) to form a stiff dough.
Step 3

Knead and roll out 1/4 inch thick.
Step 4

Cut out shapes in desired size for your pet.
Step 5

Place on foil lined oven tray
Step 6

Bake at 300*degrees 40 minutes or until dry throughout.
