My 2 mini dachshunds love these dog cookies, and beg for them when I get them out of the refrigerator.

Ingredients For dog cookies

  • 1 1/2 c
    oatmeal (i put about 2 cups oatmeal in blender til it's coarsely ground)
  • 1 c
    cooked chicken, minced fine in blender
  • 1 1/2 c
    mashed canned sweet potatoes or pumpkin
  • 1/3 c
    local honey
  • 1
    egg

How To Make dog cookies

    I boil 4 or 5 chicken thighs in unseasoned water until done; debone and put in blender with the honey. You can use 1/8 cup of the liquid if needed to blend the chicken thoroughly.

    Mix the oatmeal flour, chicken, mashed sweet potatoes or pumpkin, and egg together.

    Spread in well greased oblong baking pan. Set oven to 375 degrees. Bake 45 - 55 minutes or until it is firm but not burned. This recipe does not get hard after cooled. You can cut into small pieces or use cookie cutters while it is still warm.

    Store in refrigerator in containers or zip lock bags after completely cooled.
