This recipe I made for our German Shepherd boys, Hans and Fritz. I had lost my original recipe, and this one allowed me to treat them as the special boys they were! I got my original recipe back from my friend Mark, and posted it also...Dog Bones for Dogs (my original recipe). Enjoy!

How To Make dog bones for hans and fritz

Dissolve yeast in chicken broth. The richer the broth is the better your dog will like the biscuits. Let yeast broth mixture set 10 min. Stir in flour mixiture, roll dough 1/4 inch thick, cut with dog biscuit cookie cutters. Brush with egg wash. Bake on greased cookie sheets for 45 min at 300 degrees. Turn off oven and leave in overnight to finish hardening. Makes 60 med dog biscuits. I made a double batch to take for presents to other puppies, and omitted the egg wash. One package of the dry milk is sufficient for a double recipe, and I used low sodium chicken stock from GFS (had the lowest sodium content). Make sure to use the lowest sodium or no MSG because it is not good for dogs. Made Xmas 2004 and they both gobbled em up!
