clydie-poo's liver sausage cookies
These are my baby-girls' favorite cookies/treat-treats (my female dog - Clyde)! She just goes crazy over these & I'm sure your dog (or cat) will too. *** MUST BE REFRIGERATED - OTHERWISE THEY'LL GET MOLDY - REMEMBER THERE IS NO PRESERVATIVES IN THESE!

Depends on the size of your dog/cat & the cookie cutter
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour (white or wheat)
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons parsley, dried (or mint - to give them minty-fresh breath)
- 8 ounces liverwurst, liver sausage, braunschweiger (or can use 1 cup(s) chicken livers, cooked)
How To Make clydie-poo's liver sausage cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Step 2Place flour in a stand-mixer or large bowl.

Step 3In seperate bowl, beat egg with oil, then add broth & parsley, mix well.

Step 4Add the wet ingredients to dry ingredients (in the stand mixer) a little at a time, stirring well.

Step 5Fold in liverwurst & mix well. Dough will be firm.

Step 6Turn dough out on lightly floured surface & knead briefly.

Step 7Roll out 1/2" thick & cut into shapes using cookie cutter (I usually do either dog bone or leaf shapes).

Step 8Place on greased cookie sheet (or can use Silpat liners) 1" apart. Bake for 15 minutes or until firm.

Step 9Store in airtight container in frig.
