Over the past few months I have been replacing all of my cleaning supplies with totally natural products and have loved the results. I am now broadening my chemical free life to include personal hygiene and skin care items. This is one of the recipes I have tried recently and absolutely love the way it makes my face feel.

No-Cook or Other


  • 1 tsp
  • 2 drops
    peppermint essential oil
  • 1 tsp
    carrier oil ( such as sweet almond or olive)
  • 3 tsp
    distilled water
  • 2 Tbsp
    kaolin clay ( found in health food stores)

How to Make Minty Facial Mask


  1. Stir together honey, peppermint oil, carrier oil, distilled water and clay until you get a nice smooth paste.
  2. Apply to clean face for 10-20 minutes. Rinse with warm water; pat dry.
  3. For best results, do just before bedtime. This mask is good for all skin types.
