INGREDIENTS

1 3/4 cups flour

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda
•
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
•
1/4 cup sugar
•
2 tsp cinnamon
•
1/8 tsp salt
•
1 crisp apple, finely chopped
•
4 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted and cooled
•
4 Tbsp maple syrup
•
1 egg
•
1/2 cup milk
•
Additional melted butter to brush the pan
•
a handful of hazelnuts {or whatever nut you've got on hand}
•
For the Glaze: equal parts powdered sugar and maple syrup {5 Tbsp each of maple syrup & powdered sugar}
