INGREDIENTS
2 cups (500 ml) whole milk
1/2 cup (4 oz) unsalted butter, cut into tablespoons
1/4 cup (55 g) granulated sugar
1 Tablespoon active dry yeast
3 large eggs, room temp, lightly whisked
6 1/2 cups (975 g) all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons fine sea salt
1 large egg
1 Tablespoon water
2 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
sea salt flakes, as needed to top
