INGREDIENTS
Baked donut pan (lightly greased)
Mini muffin pan for making donut "holes" (lightly greased
2 mixing bowls
Whisk and wooden spoon
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon & 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup apple cider & 1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons canola oil & 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Cooling rack
FOR THE GLAZE:
Chocolate
Small heavy saucepan
Whisk
6 tablespoons butter, 3 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups flour, 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar, sifted
Bowl of medium hot water (to set the pan of finished glaze on)
Wooden kitchen skewer
