1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
3/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon dried crushed red pepper flakes
28 ounces canned, no-salt-added tomato puree
1/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
3 cups water
1 pound dried spaghetti
1 pound chopped or pulled pork, preferably smoked (see headnote)
