1/2 cup pure maple syrup
1/4 cup nonhydrogenated margarine
6 ounces extra-firm silken tofu (1/2 of a tetra pack)
1/4 cup cold unsweetened plain nondairy milk
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 cups pecan halves
