INGREDIENTS

1 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled

1 1/2 cup brown sugar, tightly packed

1/3 cup maple syrup
•
1 tsp vanilla extract
•
1/2 tsp maple extract (optional, but it will give the cookies a much more distinct maple flavor)

1 large egg (room temperature, lightly beaten.)
•
3 cups all-purpose flour
•
2 tsp cornstarch
•
1 tsp baking soda
•
1/2 tsp salt
•
Granulated sugar for sprinkling, if desired
