INGREDIENTS
1 8 oz. pkg Manicotti Shells ((14 shells))
1/2 pound lean ground beef
1/2 pound mild Italian sausage (casings removed)
1/2 medium yellow onion (chopped)
2 garlic cloves (minced)
1/4 tsp EACH salt, pepper
1 recipe Homemade Marinara Sauce (or 3 3/4 cups store bought (warmed))
2 eggs
2 1/4 cups whole milk ricotta cheese
3/4 cup sour cream (full fat is best)
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil (or 1/2 tablespoon dried)
2 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (or 1/2 tablespoon dried)
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 1/2 cups freshly grated mozzarella
1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp EACH salt, pepper
1 1/2 cups freshly grated mozzarella
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan
