Ingredients
- 2 whole rabbit fryers (about 2 pounds each)
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons crushed thyme leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon onion salt
- 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 cup bacon drippings or shortening
- 1 cup water

Step 1Put flour and spices in a plastic bag. Add rabbit pieces and toss to coat well. Heat shortening in skillet. Add rabbit, turning to brown on all sides. Add water, cover and simmer until rabbit is tender. You may also thicken the cooking liquid for a delightful gravy.
