Ingredients For spicy chinese duck legs

  • 8
    duck legs
  • 1/2 c
    Shaoxing wine or dry sherry
  • 3 Tbsp
    honey
  • 3 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp
    Hoisin sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    hot chili bean paste
  • 4 clove
    garlic
  • 1
    inch piece ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp
    Chinese 5 spice

How To Make spicy chinese duck legs

  • 1
    Place everything except the duck legs in a food processor and process until well blended. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    Place the duck legs skin side up in a baking pan. Pour the blended sauce over the top of the legs. Add a little water into the food processor and swirl it around to catch all the flavorings. Pour the water into the pan with the duck legs but don't submerge the legs.

    Place in oven uncovered for 2 hours basting with the sauce, adding more water if needed.

    Increase the oven to 400 degrees. Stop basting the legs and cook 30 more minutes. Serve.
