Ingredients
- 1 pound ground venison
- 1 cup cooked barley
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup fresh mushrooms chopped
- 3 large yukon gold potatoes diced
- 32 ounces beef broth
- 28 ounces can crushed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons ancho chili powder
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 cups frozen corn
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 cup water
- - salt and pepper to taste
How To Make ground venison chili style stew

Step 1Brown the venison in a large skillet. Add the onion and cook until browned. Add the garlic and cook 1 more minute. Set aside.

Step 2Place broth in a large pot. Bring to a boil. Add the potatoes and cook 10 minutes. Add the crushed tomatoes, mushrooms, Ancho chili powder, cumin, Worcestershire sauce and corn. Cook 5 more minutes. Add the browned venison mixture. Stir in the cooked barley. Mix the cornstarch and water together. Add to pot stirring constantly until thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste
