Ingredients For easy roasted duck

    4- or 5-pound duck
  • 4
    inch piece ginger sliced
  • 2
    cinnamon sticks
  • 1
    mandarin orange, cut in half
  • 1/2 c
    soy sauce
  • 1/4 c
    hoisin sauce

How To Make easy roasted duck

    Preheat the oven 350 degrees. F. Score the duck skin in a diamond pattern. Place the ginger, cinnamon sticks, and mandarin oranges into the cavity. Place toothpicks to pull the opening together.

    Mix the hoisin and soy sauce together. Place the duck into a roasting pan breast side up.

    Brush with the glaze and bake for 45 minutes. Flip the duck and baste again with the glaze and bake for 45 minutes. Flip again brush with glaze and bake another 45 minutes. Flip one more time brush with glaze and bake for 45 minutes.

    Let rest for 15 minutes and carve.
