Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey (if you prefer use beef)
  • 1 can black beans, canned
  • 1 package taco seasoning mix
  • 1 can corn
  • 1 can rotel (or any other brand/combination you prefer, tomatoes w/chillies, lime, celantro, etc.)
  • ADDITIONAL TOPPONGS
  • - cheese, shredded
  • - sour cream
  • - green onions
  • - favorite taco toppings
  • - taco shells (flour or hard shell) or tortilla chips

How To Make turkey tacos

  • Step 1
Brown meat and drain (if using ground beef I prefer to rinse the meat to get rid of some of the extra fat).
  • Step 2
Prepare meat with taco seasoning as stated on the package (I personally use the Old ElPaso in the shacker can and adjust to my own taste).
  • Step 3
In the mean time drain and rinse the black beans. Drain the corn and drain some of the juice from the tomatoes.
  • Step 4
Once the meat with seasoning has been cooked, add the beans, corn, and tomatoes to the meat in a skillet. Heat through and then serve. We eat it both as tacos and nachos.
