I love using Italian seasoned ground turkey and happened to have these ingredients. Also, crushed tomatoes have fewer preservatives, etc, than jarred spaghetti sauce.

Stove Top


1 lb
italian seasoned lean ground turkey
1 c
chopped peppers - any color
1/2 c
onion, chopped
1 tsp
garlic, chopped
1 tsp
oregano, dried
1 tsp
basil, dried
1/4 tsp
salt, or to taste
28 oz can(s)
crushed tomatoes
parmesan cheese, for garnish
4 oz
whole wheat spaghetti (or what you consider enough for 4 servings)

How to Make Turkey Spaghetti


  • 1Break up ground turkey as it browns in a large skillet. Add chopped peppers and onion. Saute for a few minutes until softened,then add garlic. Add seasonings. Simmer, covered, on low.
  • 2Meanwhile, prepare pasta according to package directions. Drain.
  • 3Either mix together with sauce, or serve pasta with sauce on top. Garnish with grated parmesan.
  • 4Nice with a green salad and garlic toast.
