turkey spaghetti
I love using Italian seasoned ground turkey and happened to have these ingredients. Also, crushed tomatoes have fewer preservatives, etc, than jarred spaghetti sauce.

Ingredients
- 1 pound italian seasoned lean ground turkey
- 1 cup chopped peppers - any color
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic, chopped
- 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
- 1 teaspoon basil, dried
- 1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 28 oz cans crushed tomatoes
- - parmesan cheese, for garnish
- 4 ounces whole wheat spaghetti (or what you consider enough for 4 servings)
How To Make turkey spaghetti

Step 1Break up ground turkey as it browns in a large skillet. Add chopped peppers and onion. Saute for a few minutes until softened,then add garlic. Add seasonings. Simmer, covered, on low.

Step 2Meanwhile, prepare pasta according to package directions. Drain.

Step 3Either mix together with sauce, or serve pasta with sauce on top. Garnish with grated parmesan.

Step 4Nice with a green salad and garlic toast.
