Ingredients

  • TURKEY MIXTURE
  • 2 cups carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups cooked turkey, cubed
  • 1 package frozen peas (19 oz)
  • BISCUITS
  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 teaspoons green onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons dried sage

How To Make turkey pot pie with home-made biscuits

  • Step 1
    Spray or grease a 9 x 13 " pan. in a large saucepan, combine carrots and broth. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cover Simmer for 5 minutes until crisp tender.
  • Step 2
    Preheat oven to 400 F. In a bowl, combine milk and flour. Add to carrot mixture along with butter and salt. Boil for one minute and then add turkey and peas. Pour into greased casserole dish, set aside.
  • Step 3
    In a medium bowl, combine biscuit ingredients. Drop dough by large spoonfuls evenly onto turkey mixture. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes until biscuits are golden brown.
