I did not have any ground beef so had to sub with ground turkey ,with delicious results!I will be making them this way from now on .

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    uncooked instant rice
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1/3 c
    fine chopped onion
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    celery salt
  • 1/8 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/8 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 lb
    ground turkey
  • 2 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 1 can(s)
    15oz tomato sauce
  • 1 c
    water
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 2 tsp
    worcestershire sauce

How to Make Turkey Porcupine Meatballs

Step-by-Step

  1. In a bowl,combine the first seven ingredients,crumble over turkey,mix well.
  2. Shape into 1 1/2in. balls (i used a cookie scoop)
  3. In a large skillet,brown meatballs in oil,drain.
  4. Combine tomato sauce,brown sugar, worcestershire sauce,and water.
  5. Pour over meatballs,reduce heat,cover and simmer for about an hour.
