1/2 cricotta cheese
1 cdiced cooked turkey, packed
1 cgrated longhorn cheese
1/3 cgreen onions, chopped
1/4 tspblack pepper
1/4 tspground cumin
How to Make Turkey Pastel
- Combine flour and cornmeal, cut in cold butter until it resemble coarse cornmeal. Beat in ricotta until a soft dough forms.
- Roll out half the dough into a 10-12" round. Place on lightly buttered baking sheet.
- Combine filling ingredients. Spoon over pastry to within an inch of the edge. Roll out remaining dough. Place over filling. Seal the edges.
- Bake at 400^ for 20-25 minutes until golden. Let stand 5-10 minutes and serve.
