This is a good use for that extra holiday turkey. The gravy also makes a good base for chichen pot pie. Add whatever cooked vegetables that you like and bake in a crust.

turkey, cooked and cubed
english muffins, toasted
1 stick
3/4 c
4 c
whole milk
onion, sliced thin
1/2 c
celery, diced
salt and pepper, to taste

How to Make Turkey over English Muffins


  • 1In large skillet, melt butter over low heat.
  • 2Saute onion and celery until soft.
  • 3Add flour, stirring until you have a lightly browned roux.
  • 4Slowly, add milk and cook over medium low to medium heat until mixture thickens.
  • 5Add turkey, salt and pepper.
  • 6While gravy is coming to a boil put English Muffins in toaster.
  • 7Serve turkey mixture over well toasted English Muffins.
