turkey cornmeal burgers with salsa
These are fantastic burgers, and I tend to eat them without a bun. You, however, can if you choose. The salsa and corn on top are a nice cool down for the jalapeno in the burger!

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 pounds ground turkey
- 2 tablespoons cornmeal
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 - egg white
- 1 - jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 cup cooked frozen whole corn, drained
- 1/2-3/4 cup salsa or picante sauce
How To Make turkey cornmeal burgers with salsa

Step 1In med bowl combine turkey, cornmeal, cumin, chili powder, salt, pepper, lime juice, egg white and jalapeno; mix lightly. Shape into 5 patties, 1/2" thick. Heat oil in large skillet over med heat until oil sizzles, about 1 min. Add turkey patties. Cook 3-5 min on each side or until browned and no longer pink in the center. Meanwhile, in small saucepan combine and heat corn and salsa. Serve on top of turkey burgers.
