so good. I made this with turkey but you could use any ground meat.

1 lb
ground turkey
2 Tbsp
taco seasoning mix
soft shell tortillas
1 c
shredded tex mex cheese
1/2 c
medium salsa
1/2 c
onion, diced
1 c
bell pepper, diced, reserve half for the end
1 1/2 tsp
ground cumin
1/3 c
1 c
shredded lettuce
diced tomato

How to Make turkey burrito cassarole


  • 1Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • 2brown ground turkey. Add in onion and peppers, saute for 5 minutes.
  • 3Add in taco seasoning, cumin and water. Cook unitl sauce reduces and thickens, approx. 5 2 minutes. Add in salsa.
  • 4Using a pie plate use a small amount of sauce on bottom top with a tortilla, add more sauce top with 1/3 of the cheese. Continue with layering, ending with sauce and cheese.
  • 5Place pie plate in oven for 20 minutes or until ceese on top is melted and bubbly. Top with shredded lettuce, tomatoes and peppers, serve with guacamole and sour cream.
