tomatoes (cooked)
small onion, chopped
cloves garlic, minced
chili powder to taste ( at least 2 tbs)
cumin to taste ( about 1 tsp
sugar in the raw (2 packets)
kosher salt to taste
bay leaf
1/2 bottle
of budweiser (6-8 oz.depending on how thick you like chili)
1 1/2 lb
ground dark meat turkey
2 can(s)
low sodium progresso black beans
vegetable oil
1 tsp
jiffy mix


1If you would like spicier chili, add a little cayenne pepper

Boil tomatoes on medium until skin cracks
Cool tomatoes and peel away skins
Puree 3 tomatoes and chop other 3 into small chunks
Mince garlic
Chop onion
Brown turkeyand drain
Add a small amount of oil in bottom of a large stock pot
Add onions and garlic
Add meat
Add all other ingredients
Add beer
Add cinnamon
Bring to a boil and simmer for an hour or longer
Prepare and bake corn muffins according to package
When serving chili, crumble up one muffin into each bowl
