This is a delicious way of using up leftover Thanksgiving turkey...I have made this numerous times, and friends and family love it...I usually make home made biscuits though! I also double the batch for my family, it is just as good the next day, reheated!

Ingredients

  • 1 - 6 ounces tube refrigerated biscuits, or make your own
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 can (14 - 1/2 ounces) chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups cubed turkey
  • 1 cup sliced cooked carrots
  • 1 cup cut, fresh green beans, or use frozen, cooked
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

How To Make turkey a la king

  • Step 1
    Make the biscuits; according to package. In a large saucepan, melt butter. Stir in flour until smooth; gradually add broth and milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1 - 2 minutes or until thickened.
  • Step 2
    Stir in turkey, carrots, green beans, salt and pepper; heat through.. serve with the biscuits.
