These little meat pies really easy to make, and my kids have loved them since they were toddlers, which to me makes a successful dish! They are traditionally made with lamb, but I have always used ground turkey for a lower fat, affordable substitute.

2 can(s)
refrigerated biscuits, grand sized
2 c
onions, finely minced
olive oil
2 lb
ground turkey
8 oz
diced tomatoes
1/2 c
fresh parsley (or 1/4 c. dry reconstituted)
1/2 c
lemon juice
1/4 c
red wine vinegar
1 Tbsp
tomato paste
cayenne pepper
1/3 c
sesame tahini (for post-cook)

1Place biscuits on baking sheets. Flatten slightly, and press a well into each. They'll look like little dough bowls. Set aside.
2In a bowl, mix all ingredients *except* lemon juice and tahini. Use the seasonings in the recipe to your taste. Cook this mixture in a frying pan.
3When cooked: Stir in sesame tahini and lemon juice. Use this mixture to fill the dents in the biscuits.
4Bake meat pies according to directions on the biscuit can.
