My mothers family was originally from massachusetts and reportedly came over on the mayflower. This recipe is a nod to my long ago relatives who landed in Plimoth Ma.

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 medium celery rib, finely chopped
- 1 /3 cup chicken broth
- 3/4 cup herb stuffing mix
- 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 pounds ground turkey
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- six - onion rolls
- OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS
- - cranberry sauce
- - mayonnaise
- - mustard
- - lettuce and tomato
How To Make plimouth rock turkey burgers

Step 1In a small skillet, heat butter, add the onion and celery and cook over medium heat, until softened. about four minutes. Add broth and bring to a boil. Remove from heatt and stir in stuffing mix, salt, poultry seasoning and pepper. Let cool completely.

Step 2In a large bowl combine ground turkey with stuffing mixture. Form into six burgers, about one inch thick.

Step 3Grill, turning once until ligtly browned on both sides, about four minutes. Continue grilling, turning once, until burgers are cooked throug. about twelve minutes. Serve on rolls with whatever condiments you like.
