I wanted to change my chili up and wanted to try the 15 beans in a bag. I think I came up with the perfect 15 Bean Chili. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did tonight. Kellie

Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground turkey
- 3 cups 15 bean soup mix(discard seasoning packet)
- 2 -10 ounce can diced tomatoes with green chilis(rotel)
- 7.76 ounces mexican salsa medium
- 1 -6 ounce can of tomato paste(no salt added)
- 1 cup red onion, diced
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
- 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
- - salt and pepper

Step 1Rinse beans under cool water throw out any broken ones.Put beans in a 2 1/2-quart heavy saucepan or a crockpot. Fill with water leave atleast an inch from the top. Add 1 tsp of salt. Bring your beans to a boil then reduce heat to the lowest setting and simmer overnight. In the morning, remove cooked beans from the heat and refrigerate until your ready to prepare your chili.

Step 2In a large soup pot, cook ground turkey until no longer pink.Add onion,garlic and mexican salsa to turkey,cook until onion is softened and turkey is browned.Add beans to the pot mixture then add all the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil,reduce heat, cover with lid. Allow to simmer atleast 35 minutes over a low heat setting.

Step 3you can serve alone or add cheddar cheese or sour cream for extra flavor. With a side of Buttermilk Cornbread
