Ingredients For *** mom's turkey ***

22 lbturkey

3carrots, chopped
-
3celery, chopped
-
2 lgonions, chopped
-
1 stickbutter (hard)

1/2 stickbutter, melted
-
2 Tbspthyme, dried
-
1lemon, sliced
-
salt & pepper, to taste
-
1 cwater
How To Make *** mom's turkey ***

1Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

2Chop up vegetables, place 3/4 on bottom of roasting pan, with rack. Pour water into pan.

3Take out neck & gizzards from inside cavity. Rinse & pat dry turkey. Place turkey on roasting rack. Shove remaining vegetables & 1 stick butter inside cavity.

4In a small bowl, mix all seasonings together. Rub melted butter all over skin of turkey. Sprinkle seasoning mixture evenly over turkey. Randomly, place lemon slices over turkey. Bake for 1 hour, reduce heat to 325 degrees F for 2 hours.
