Ingredients
- 4 ounces butter
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups scalded milk
- - salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup grated romano cheese
- 4 slices toast
- 8 slices bacon
- 12 slices turkey breast
- 8 slices tomatoes
How To Make kentucky hot browns

Step 1In a saucepan melt butter and blend in flour, but do not let brown.

Step 2Remove sauce pan from heat and chill.

Step 3Heat broth and milk to boiling point.

Step 4Add hot milk to the flour mixture while beating vigorously with a wire whisk until sauce thickens.

Step 5Season with salt, pepper and cheese. Simmer until cheese melts.

Step 6To assemble hot browns, trim toast and place on 4 individual ovenproof platters.

Step 7Arrange the turkey slices over the toast and cover completely with cream sauce.

Step 8Place 2 slices of tomatoes and two strips of bacon on each dish.

Step 9Place platters in preheated 375 degree oven until hot browns are bubbly.

Step 10This will serve four.
